Red, Red Sunrise

The beer is cold.

Night air that is crisp and laced with early spring frost tickles at my throat, and no matter how many times I rearrange the scarf at my neck, the silk just refuses to offer any soothing warmth. So that means it's all down to the beer. I down it quickly and put it down on the glass table in front of me.

I am so tired.
Ever since I got back from my lovely month long holiday I've been working 3 jobs. 7 days a week. Why? To scrape together enough cash to actually be able to afford to move over to the USA.

It's fucking expensive. A 12 month visa has put me out of pocket more dollars than I'd like to think about. And that's just the visa. When you pool everything together cost wise you come to realize that moving countries is not at all an easy task.

By far the hardest thing I've had to do is "consolidate" my wardrobe. This literally means giving away clothes I have to the Salvation Army. So many clothes that I love, but never wear. So I can't justify taking them with me, I just pop them in a huge garbage bag and take them down to the Salvo's and try not to wrestle it back from the old man I hand it over to... "BUT NO. WAIT. I CHANGED MY MIND ABOUT THE PINK AND WHITE HOUNDSTOOTH JACKET! GIVE IT BACK!"

Haha, I'm just kidding. I've never yelled at a Salvation Army man. They're too sweet. Plus, there is probably a lady out there who will appreciate these clothes more than me, and actually use them!

On to DA related stuff...
I've uploaded some poetry recently. In the past I've avoided doing this because I'm of the opinion that my poetry is pretty average. (I sure as hell ain't no Ginsberg, baby.) But I wrote Good Night and Sweet Dreams the other night and I thought to myself, "El, why are you writing all this stuff if you don't want to let anyone read it?"
And that very valid question spurred me to start uploading it regardless about my opinions on its quality.

ANYWAY.
I have to go to work at the Rum Factory. (Yes, a factory that makes Rum! Hurrah! What a job eh?!?!) So I bid you farewell, whoever is reading this rambling entry! Hope your day/night/morning/evening is as productive/unproductive as you wish it to be!
